A Mendham Township School District graduate, former global business leader, and mother of three students currently enrolled in the district, Allison Barratt is running for the Board of Education to bring grounded, steady leadership shaped by both hometown values and global perspective.
With deep multigenerational roots in Mendham, Allison is part of a family that continues to call this town home—including her parents, who remain proud residents. After years of professional experience abroad, she chose to return and raise her own family in the same community that shaped her—a decision driven by her belief in the power of strong public schools and thoughtful, transparent governance.
Allison is running as part of the Securing Student Success team alongside Diana Orban Brown and Kathleen McCallum, with a shared focus on collaboration, transparency, and putting students and the community at the center of board decision-making.

- Graduate of Virginia Tech, with a B.S. in Merchandising and Human Resources
- Fashion industry leadership managing fast-paced product development and merchandising teams across New York and Hong Kong for companies such as DKNY and LVMH
- Six years living and working abroad, developing cross-cultural leadership, communication, and operational expertise
- Independent consultant for small businesses and lifestyle brands, focused on strategic growth
- Longtime PTO leader and volunteer, supporting local events, fundraising, and parent engagement
- Board member of a local education foundation, helping bring enrichment opportunities to Mendham students
- As a parent who has navigated both IEP and 504 processes, brings firsthand understanding of student support needs—and a deep appreciation for the services Mendham provides
- Key contributor to Mansion in May, benefiting Morristown Medical Center, where she orchestrated designer sales, accounting, and back-end operations
- Community preservationist, helping restore Mendham’s historic Ralston Gristmill—blending progress with tradition
